Three groups to receive funding from CRACH grant

Three applications will receive funding through the Community Recreation, Art, Culture, and Heritage Investment Grant (CRACH).

The three applications totalled $11,625 in approved funding, which comes from an annual budget of $250,000.

“The Advisory Committee for this grant puts in a lot of work to make sure the funding can be spread throughout the year,” said Mayor Craig Copeland. “We’re just over half-way through the year, so we want to make sure there’s enough funding for events that take place in the latter half of 2025.”

Approved grants at the Aug. 12 council meeting included:

  • 4 Wing Personnel Support Programs for a sponsorship grant for $2,625.
  • Cold Lake Fighter Jets Football Club for a sponsorship grant for $6,000.
  • Wild North Eclectic Society for $3,000 in support of the Summer Rush Festival.

Also approved at the same meeting was a request from the Cold Lake Tennis Club to amend the purpose of the Leadership Grant in the amount of $1,087.50 to be used toward tennis learning sessions open to the public.
