The family of Wayne Robert Diepold of Bonnyville, Alberta announces that their beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at the age of 83 years.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories is his devoted wife of 58 years: Barbara Diepold of Bonnyville, AB; daughters: Kristine (James) Girard of Edmonton, AB, Kathryn Diepold of Bonnyville, AB; treasured grandchildren: Danielle Girard & Justin Girard, both of Edmonton, AB; brother-in-law: George (Toni) Koebel of Edmonton, AB; sisters-in-law: Lynda Diepold of Victoria, BC, Anne Koebel of Edson, AB, Gabrielle “Googs” Koebel of Jasper, AB; Wayne also leaves behind a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents: Louis & Ellen Diepold; brother: Jack Diepold; nephew: Mark Diepold; parents-in-law: George & Mary Koebel; sister & brothers-in-law: Mariea (Pat) Connell, John Koebel, Leo Koebel.

Funeral Mass, Monday, August 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. (eulogy will start at 10:50 a.m.), St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Fort Kent, Alberta with Father Rene Realuyo as Celebrant. A private, family inurnment will take place at a later date.
