Ronald “Ron” Hodinsky Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ronald Robert Hodinsky of Beaverdam, Alberta, announces his passing on July 31, 2025, in St. Paul, Alberta, at the age of 80 years.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Diana; children: Dennis (Lea) Hodinsky, Daryl (Julie) Hodinsky, Marina (Scott) Stafford; grandchildren: Austin (Katelyn Rose) Hodinsky, Justin (Haley) Hodinsky, Kyle Hodinsky, Angelina (Kyle) Kwiatkowski, Tarras Hodinsky, Tristan Hodinsky (Elizabeth Rae), Keenan Stafford, Mackenzie Stafford (Jax Brown), Tiana Stafford; brother: Larry (Marlene) Hodinsky; brother in-law: Billy (Brenda) Hokiro; sisters in-law: Judith Shmyr (Ernest Deveau), Grace Johnson, Kim Hodinsky;  as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

He was predeceased by daughter: Cheryl Hodinsky; parents: Harry & Lena Hodinsky; brothers: David & Benny Hodinsky; parents-in-law: Bill & Florence Hokiro; brother in-law: Dwayne Johnson.

Pallbearers: Kyle Hodinsky, Austin Hodinsky, Justin Hodinsky, Tarras Hodinsky, Keenan Stafford, Tristan Hodinsky.  Honorary Pallbearers: Larry Hodinsky, Billy Hokiro, Wayne McMillan, Fred Miller, Lionel Campeau, Louis Gaulin.

Diana and her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the close family, cousins and friends who assisted in comforting Ron in his final months.

Public Prayer Service, Friday, August 8, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Memento Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, AB.

Funeral Service, Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., Ardmore Community Hall, Ardmore, AB. With Reverend Steven Sparks officiating. Viewing will take place prior to the funeral service from 10:00a.m. to 10:45 a.m. for those wishing to pay their respects.

Final Resting Place, Saturday, August 9, 2025, Russo Orthodox Cemetery, Bonnyville, AB.
