Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for the Lakeland

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the Bonnyville and Cold Lake areas on Tuesday afternoon.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing heavy rain, according to Environment Canada.

Slow moving thunderstorms have developed and have the potential to bring locally heavy rain this afternoon and evening.

After long dry spells, there is precipitation in the forecast throughout the week.
