The RCMP’s Musical Ride Tour treated St. Paul and area residents to not one, but two shows on Wednesday.

The program began with drumming and performance from the Eagle Spirit youth dance troupe from Saddle Lake. Then a showcase of Police Dog training and biting, before the main show began.

The hundreds in attendance got the chance to pet the horses afterwards after the hour long show of different tactical formations set to Canadian rock and country.

The tour continues in Cold Lake tonight at 6:30PM.

Sgt. Dennis Silliker

Someone who knows what the Musical Ride tour is all about is St. Paul Sgt. Dennis Silliker, who used to perform on this ride.

He applauded the community’s support of the event, and the St. Paul Ag Society, who used their volunteers and know-how to help make it a big success.

“It’s a testament to St. Paul and the community spirit to put something like this together. We planned on it last year sometime, and all the volunteers and hard work that the St. Paul Ag Society has put forward. The partnership with the Town of St. Paul and County of St. Paul, all of other sponsors. It’s just exciting to see it all come together.”
