Vermilion RCMP laid 54 charges in June

During the month of June 2025, Vermilion RCMP responded to 271 calls for service. 

The biggest chunk of those calls came from traffic or vehicle complaints, totaling 104 calls.

Of the 271 calls, 40 were related to property crimes, 28 were related to persons crimes, 20 were traffic collisions, and 13 were suspicious persons or vehicles. 

Of the property crime, 19 were mischiefs (damage to property or obstructing lawful enjoyment), nine were break and enters, seven were frauds, two were thefts and two were thefts of vehicles.

In addition, eight calls were related to spousal abuse, and 15 were related to mental health concerns.

During this period, Vermilion RCMP laid 54 charges, including 36 criminal code, and 18 provincial offences.

Nineteen of the criminal charges were related to failing to comply with conditions/court, seven were related to property crimes, and ten were related to persons crimes.

Three individuals were issued notice of administrative penalties for driving while impaired.
