Suspected meth, stolen IDs seized in arrest for wanted man on outstanding warrants

A man wanted on outstanding warrants was found in the area with what police believe to be stolen ID cards.
St. Paul RCMP and the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit members were patrolling at the Saddle Lake Pow Wow on Saturday, June 21.
They spotted a man wanted with charges from Edmonton and made the arrest. Police said during their search, they found suspected methamphetamine, drug-related paraphernalia, Canadian currency, and identification cards presumed to be stolen.
A stolen truck was also recovered nearby, police said on Tuesday.
Along with the execution of the warrants, the male was charged with numerous new offences.
Lazare Christopher Favel, 26, a resident of Saddle Lake has been charged with:
- possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule 1: methamphetamine (crystal meth)
- possession of property obtained by crime less than or equal $5000
- illegal possession or trafficking in government documents (x6)
Favel was held for a judicial hearing and was remanded into custody. He is set to appear in court on Thursday, June 26.
