Several charges laid after Police Dog Services tracked two suspects: Bonnyville RCMP
Two people are facing charges after being in possession of a stolen truck.
The situation unfolded on June 4.
Bonnyville RCMP attempted a traffic stop on Highway 657, but the vehicle fled northbound on Range Road 460 (Gurneyville Road).
Eastern Alberta District Police Dog Services and Crime Reduction Unit were nearby and assisted, police say.
The suspect was driving a stolen truck hauling a camper, and ditched the vehicle before fleeing on foot.
Police Dog, Chase, and his handler, tracked the occupants that had fled, and located both the male and female suspects who were arrested and taken into custody.
Braedan Tizzard, 29, of Bonnyville had broken into a residence to hide from the Police Dog. He was remanded into custody and is set to appear in Court on June 17.
He is charged with:
- Possession of Stolen Property (3x),
- Mischief Over $5000,
- Resisting Arrest,
- Breaking & Entering,
- Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House,
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle,
- Failing to Comply with a Release Order Condition (4x)
- Flight from Police and several traffic violations.
Tishe-Marie Blum, 40, of Cold Lake was found hiding in the bush. A Justice of the Peace released her from custody and she is set to appear in court on June 24th.
She is charged with:
- Possession of Stolen Property (3x),
- Mischief Over $5000,
- Resisting Arrest
- Trespassing.
