Residents noticed smoke billowing into the skies late afternoon on Wednesday south of Bonnyville.
A fire started at or beside the Bonnyville Transfer Station and emergency crews responded after 4:30PM.
The fire was extinguished by the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority last night.
