Authorities have released a couple more details following an autopsy in two people’s deaths.

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit had taken carriage of an investigation into the housefire where two people died in Elizabeth Metis Settlement on May 21.

Following reports from the medical examiner, the autopsy identified the deceased as a 58-year-old female and a 60-year-old male, both residents of the home, according to a Tuesday update.

The RCMP said they are not looking for suspects in this matter, leading to questions about the fire being started by one of the deceased.

The residence on Township Road 610 suffered extensive damage, as crews upon arrival had found one resident of the home and pulled them outside. However, they were already deceased.

Upon later searches, they found the second person deceased.
