Letter of support approved for John Howard Society: City

The City of Cold Lake provided a letter of support to the John Howard Society for its grant funding application with the Government of Alberta.

A special council meeting was called Tuesday, April 29, in order to approve the letter within the timeframe given to the John Howard Society from the Government of Alberta for their grant application.

“They weren’t given much time to provide supporting documents, but we were fortunately able to get a deadline extension for us to call a meeting,” said Mayor Craig Copeland. “Grant funding for organizations like the John Howard Society is extremely important in maintaining the function of the society and services they offer.”

The letter was drafted, signed, and provided to the John Howard Society prior to the grant application deadline.
