On April 10, 2025, Kate Kucher of Vilna, Alberta formerly of Edwand, Alberta passed away at the age of 98 years. She is survived by her children, Ron (Judy) & Allan (Donna); daughters-in-law, Kris & Gretchen; grandchildren, Colleen (Richard) Hatt, Michael (Jacquelynn) Kenyon, Grant (Melissa), Greg (Jodi), Markus, Amber (Calen), Dayna (Tyrell) & Ashley; great-grandchildren, Joey (Tyler), Zoey (Matt), Mia, Amilyn, Abigayle, Jack, Teegan, Brooklyn & CJ; brother, Dave Billey; numerous nieces & nephews. Kate was predeceased by her husband, Alex; daughter, Patricia Kenyon; sons, Doug & Ken; parents, Mike & Annie Billey; brother, Nick; & sister-in-law, Sandra Billey. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Vilna Cultural Centre, Vilna. Very Reverend Father Benny Ambrosie will be officiating with interment in St. Pokrova Orthodox Cemetery, Edwand.
