On April 6, 2025, Mr. Cody Mitchell Steven Quinney of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 29 years. He is survived by his Goddaughter, Letheena; mother, Janice Cryer; siblings, Manda Cardinal (Tony), Richard Cardinal, Morgan Cardinal (Curtis), Vanessa Quinney (Dion), Cherina Quinney (Greg), Lloyd (Aimee) Quinney; Asiny Quinney Cryer (Adrianne), Starline Cryer, Victoria Cryer (Shawna) & Ricky Cryer (Kaylee); maternal kokum, Alice Callaghan; special aunts, Emily Cryer, Helen Cryer, Diane Quinney, Cynthia Mason, Bev Quinney, Pauline Lachance & Matilda Brertton; uncles, Darryl Quinney, Vaughn Crier & Shane Cardinal; numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. Cody was predeceased by his father, Steven Richard Quinney; sister, Brittany Lisa Quinney; grandparents, Muriel & Wilmer Quinney, Margaret Rose Cryer, Derek Ahenkew; great-grandparents, Helen & Johnny Cryer, Edna & Lloyd Quinney; uncles, Melton, Chris, John & Danny; cousin, Alexis Cardinal. A Wake will be held on Tuesday, April 15 (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.) & Wednesday, April 16 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, led by Mr. Allan Thomas & Pastor Mavis Giant with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
