Bonnyville RCMP are not looking to lay charges in a fatal collision of 26-year-old.

On Monday, March 24, Bonnyville RCMP responded to a collision between a pickup truck and a large sedan that took place on Range Road 460 between Township Road 610 and 604, south of Bonnyville.

Initial findings revealed that the sedan failed to stop, hitting the pickup, RCMP said on Monday.

Alcohol was later discovered to be a factor, police say.

Both drivers were brought to the hospital with varying levels of injuries, with the driver of the pickup truck recovering from his injuries.

On April 4, 2024, Bonnyville RCMP was advised that the driver of the large sedan, a 26-year-old female resident of Ardrossan, succumbed to her injuries.

Bonnyville RCMP are not seeking to lay charges with regards to this collision.

The thoughts of the Alberta RCMP are with all those impacted by this incident.
