Get ready to order a JBC. Or how about a Baconator? Venti brown sugar oat shaken expresso?

Wendy’s and Starbucks are coming to St. Paul.

Town officials confirmed the approval of their development application in February, and have worked together to quell the issues of parking and roadway access.

“It’s exciting, any new business coming to town is exciting. It adds opportunities to the community,” said Mayor Maureen Miller in the Morning After.

“To have business coming into your community is always an advantage.”

According to the planning & development department at the Town of St. Paul, construction is anticipated to take place starting this spring or early summer.
The proposed stand-alone building location is directly north of the existing Canadian Tire, to the east of the existing KFC/BarBurrito/Edo Japan building.

“Our office has been diligently working on ensuring this particular area was able to be built out as proposed by this developer without significant barriers place upon them or the town,” said CAO Steven Jeffrey in a response to Lakeland Connect.

“With a development such as this one adjacent to a highway, there can often times be discussions with Alberta Transportation around traffic flows and accommodations, which can be the make or break in deciding if the development is worth pursuing.

“Fortunately, after much discussion and planning, all parties involved were able to approve the development with the current traffic configurations in this area. We are very happy to be able to welcome two new businesses to the community and we wish them nothing but success.”
