Snowfall warning in effect: Environment Canada
A snowfall warning is in effect for the Cold Lake region, according to Environmental Canada.
Snowfall is expected to become heavy at times starting early Thursday. Before the snow ends Thursday night, 10 to 20 cm of snow is expected.
Flurries are anticipated Wednesday night overnight, with wind gusts picking up between 20-40km/h.
That will affect the temperature, with a cooler -12 degrees and a wind chill that will be -22 degrees.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
