Vermilion RCMP lay 58 charges in the month of February
During the month of February 2025, Vermilion RCMP responded to 210 calls for service.
Of those, 78 were related to traffic/vehicle complaints, 37 were related to property crimes, 22 were related to persons crimes, 15 were traffic collisions, and two were suspicious persons or vehicles.
Of the property crime:
- 18 were thefts,
- 10 were mischiefs (damage to property or obstructing lawful enjoyment),
- 4 were frauds.
- 2 were break and enters,
There were no thefts of vehicles. In addition, 7 calls were related to spousal abuse, and 5 were related to mental health concerns.
During this period, Vermilion RCMP laid 58 charges, including 30 criminal code, 2 youth criminal justice act, and 26 provincial offences.
Seven of the criminal charges were related to failing to comply with conditions/court, six were related to property crimes, four were related to weapons offences, and 11 were related to persons crimes.
Further, two individuals were issued notice of administrative penalties for driving while impaired.
