A Cold Lake born hockey player is getting the attention of the pros.

Jaxon Fuder, 18-year-old who hails from Cold Lake, is currently a member of the Red Deer Rebels.

The forward was included in the list of prospects put together by NHL Central Scouting for draft-eligible junior players for this year’s entry draft.

Fuder was listed at 170 on the list amongst North American skaters, which would classify him as a 5th round prospect.

With his 19th birthday in April, Fuder has already played a bundle of junior games.

Starting first in Cranbrook in the BCHL, he was then moved to Powell River.

After playing in 76 BCHL games, the Red Deer Rebels took Fuder this season as his play as continued to progress.

He has 9 goals and 13 assists in 22 games with the Rebs this season.

Fuder last played in the region with the Lloyd Bobcats U15AAA team during COVID in 2020-21, before moving to West Van U18 Prep School.
