S/Sgt. Parke says the Bonnyville RCMP detachment is now fully equipped with body-worn cameras.

The federal rollout of body-worn cameras has continued to more detachments in recent weeks, with Bonnyville being among the next wave, along with Cold Lake, Elk Point, and Lac La Biche RCMP officers.

Following comprehensive training, officers are now ready to use this technology, to improve transparency, accountability, and modernization.

St. Paul was one of the first to pilot the cameras in Alberta.

Between 10,000 and 15,000 cameras are being deployed to frontline officers across Canada, with Alberta RCMP detachments at the forefront of this important step forward.
