Second degree murder charge laid in Cold Lake homicide investigation
As a result of the investigation, on Jan. 23, 2025, police charged 19-year-old Damien Delorme, a resident of Cold Lake district with second-degree murder.
A 19-year-old has been charged with second degree murder following the killing of a man in late December.
On Dec. 20, 2024, at 12:42PM, Cold Lake RCMP responded to a call of a deceased male at residence in Cold Lake.
The deceased was identified as 29-year-old Tyler White, who had died as a result of a gunshot wound, police said on Monday.
The Edmonton Major Crimes Unit took carriage of the investigation with the assistance of the Cold Lake General Investigation Section and St. Paul Forensic Identification Section.
As a result of the investigation, on Jan. 23, 2025, police charged 19-year-old Damien Delorme, a resident of Cold Lake district with second-degree murder.
Delorme was arrested from the Edmonton Remand Center where he was in custody on unrelated matters.
A JIR hearing was held and Delorme was held over in custody to appear in Cold Lake Alberta Court of Justice on Feb. 12, 2025.
