In Loving Memory: Norman Carty – Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Norman Neil Carty, of Myrnam, Alberta, on December 22, 2024 at the age of 75 years.
Born on April 6, 1949, in Brantford, Ontario, Norm was raised in Shinimicas, Nova Scotia, alongside his three siblings, where he forged lasting friendships and memories.
Norm lived a life full of dedication, hard work, and compassion. His sense of humor and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was known for his deep love of family and friends, always offering a helping hand and a kind word.
Norm is survived by his wife, Shona; his stepsons Wayne, Troy & Mathew; stepdaughters, Pat & Terry; brother, Eric; sisters, Nancy (Richard) Lawrence, Bettyanne (Norm) Brake & Tammy Greeno; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces & -nephews who all cherished him dearly. He was predeceased by his father, Neil; mother, Thelma; brother, Kevin.
Norm had a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep connection to family and friends. He was an avid camper and had a special love for horses. His presence will be greatly missed, especially around the campfire, where his warmth and humor were always a source of joy.
Norm’s kindness, and generosity, left a mark on everyone who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Rest in peace, Norm. Your spirit will forever be cherished, especially around the campfires you loved so much. You will be deeply missed.
