On January 8, 2025, Mr. Garvin Lloyd Alexander Chisan of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 61 years. He is survived by his sons, Cy (Kayla) & Cole; sisters, Debbie & Sherri (Anne); brother, Herbie; aunt, Muriel Manywounds; uncles, Ken (Hazel) Steinhauer & Frank Chisan; numerous cousins, nieces & nephews.

Garvin was predeceased by his parents, Isabel “June” & Vernon Lloyd Chisan; brother-in-law, Allan Marsh; grandparents, Ralph Garvin & Isabel Florence (Davidson) Steinhauer, Charlie & Mary Jean (Grant) Chisan; numerous aunts, uncles & cousins; friends, Vernon Andrew Makokis Jr., Frankie Butcher, Vincent Steinhauer, Kirby Cardinal & Lester Cardinal.

A Wake will be held on Wednesday (leaving Grace Gardens at 3:00 p.m.) & Thursday, January 15 & 16 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Traditional Funeral Service led by ceremonial Elders & Pastor Linda Burns, will be held on Friday, January 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake with interment  in Saddle Lake United Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
