Vermilion RCMP charge individual with fraud
Vermilion RCMP have charged an individual with fraud following an investigation into a reported incident of cheque fraud.
The investigation was initiated after a member of the public informed police that one of their personal cheques had been deposited by someone they didn’t know.
Vermilion RCMP conducted a thorough investigation, which led to the identification and subsequent charging of the suspect.
Bryce Allan Smith, a 37-year-old resident of Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., has been charged with Fraud under $5000.
Smith was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a Release Order. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 13, 2025 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Vegreville.
