Barbara “Barb” Jean (nee McDonald) Magistad

August 22, 1938 ~ December 30, 2024 (age 86)

With broken hearts, the family of Barbara “Barb” Jean Magistad (née McDonald) of Bonnyville, Alberta regretfully announces the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister on Monday, December 30, 2024 at the age of  86 years.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are her sons: Lyle (Sandra) Magistad, Darren Magistad; grandchildren: Kayla (Johnny) Lovas, Jeremy (Aliceson) Magistad, Jasmine Magistad; treasured great grandchildren: Rhea & Presley Magistad, Liam & Emmerson Magistad; brothers: Roy (Genevese) McDonald, Cliff (Sharon) McDonald; daughter-in-law: Liz Magistad; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.

Barb was predeceased by her husband of 52 years: Charles Magistad; sons: Clinton Magistad, Wade Magistad; parents: Albert & Sara McDonald; sisters: Marlene Morrisette, Colleen Sinclair; daughter-in-law: Erin Magistad.

As per Barb’s wishes, cremation has taken place; the family will have a private Celebration of her Life at a later date.
