With broken hearts and a feeling of extreme loss and sorrow, we announce the passing of Jim Courtoreille on Dec 25, 2024.

Jim was born June 27, 1951, in Edmonton Alberta, and is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elaine; three children, Janet (Scott), Keith, Andrea (David); grandchildren, Evan, Ella, Tealya; brothers, Ernie, Wayne (Joanne), Danny (Peggy); sisters, Luella and Kym; sister-in-laws, Sandra (Richard), Charlotte (Kent); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Jim is predeceased by his grandparents, Gordon and Sara Courtoreille;

mother, Marge Massey and stepfather Ronald Massey; parents-in-law, Frank and Annie Ratzlaff; brother-in-laws, Gerald Ratzlaff and Frank Melchior; and sister-in-law, Barb Thomas.

A Prayer Service will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Lac La Biche, Alberta.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Lac La Biche, Alberta with Reverend Father Anselmo Landoy as the celebrant.
