Elk Point RCMP on scene of serious motor vehicle collision

Elk Point RCMP are currently responding to a serious collision Highway 16 near Highway 857. While emergency workers respond traffic is being redirected.

Responding officers are advising that there is dense fog in the area and roads remain icy .

Motorists are asked to avoid travel in the area and ensure they check Alberta 511 for the most up-to-date highway conditions and plan accordingly.
