Listen to Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs Live
Teddy Bear Toss night returns to Bonnyville on Friday
One of the signature nights of the season right before the Christmas break, The Brick Bonnyville Teddy Bear Toss returns on Friday for the Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs.
As the Yaks host the Olds Grizzlys, fans will be in anticipation waiting for the first Pontiacs goal to be scored to throw teddy bears onto the ice.
Fans are encouraged to bring their teddy bears or purchase a Brickly Bear from The Brick outside the RJ Lalonde Arena.
“It’s a great cause every season and I’m really excited we’re bringing it back,” said Pontiacs gameday coordinator Dalton Edwards.
The teddy bears and donations afterwards will be sent to the Bonnyville Auxiliary Hospital and Victim Services.
The Brick Bonnyville is sending their money from the teddy bear purchases to the Children’s Miracle Network.
A special guest is anticipated along with Wooly Bully, the freshest mascot face in town.
Along with an intermission favourite game of frisbee toss, the 1st intermission will see the tricycle races at ice level.
Special deals are also anticipated for Pontiacs merchandise, including brand new hats and pucks with this season’s alternate logo.
Christmas shopping can be made easier by going online at Pontiacs website here.
Bonnyville also hosts the Drumheller Dragons on Saturday night, before Santa Claus makes an appearance on Sunday afternoon.
Kids are encouraged to join the Pontiacs for a Christmas Skate beginning at noon on the RJ Lalonde ice.
