In Loving Memory: Wade Sundown – Memento Funeral Chapel

With heavy hearts, the family of Wade Eudin Sundown of Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan is saddened to announce that the sun set for him on Friday, November 8, 2024 at the age of 31 years.

Wade will be remembered for his fun-loving personality and caring soul. He loved his family and friends very much and was happiest whenever he was with them. Wade enjoyed attending rounddances and singing; at one time he and some of his brothers were known as the Bologna Boys on the rounddance trail. He also enjoyed playing golf with family.

Wade will be forever remembered and loved by his daughter: Leah Sundown; parents: William Sundown & Violet Pachapis; brothers: Shane Sundown, Dorian Pachapis, Aaron Bearboy; sisters: Verna Pahtayken (Lare), Alura Pachapis, Windy Sundown, Selena Sundown, Lovena Sundown, Tiffany Bearboy; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

Wade is going into the arms of his grandparents: Louis & Eliza Sundown, Robert Littlespruce & Anne Pachapis; uncles: Harold Sundown, John Sundown, Louie Jr. Sundown, Norman Sundown, Delmer Sundown, Derik Sundown, Lloyd Sundown, Donald Pachapis, Alfred H. Chief; aunties: Caroline Sundown, Lena Pachapis, Colleen Pachapis; and numerous relatives in Loon Lake, Saulteaux, Thunderchild and Big Island Lake Nation.

Wake, Monday, November 11, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. (SK time)/2:00 p.m. (AB time), Chief Napew Memorial School Gymnasium, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan, leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, Cold Lake, Alberta at 2:00 p.m. (SK time)/1:00 p.m. (AB time).

Funeral Service, Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. (SK time)/12:00 p.m. (AB time), Chief Napew Memorial School Gymnasium, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan with the community Elders & Helpers officiating. Pallbearers: Aaron Watchmaker, Damian Pachapis, Jesse Kahpoonapit, Sherwin George, Osman George, Terrence Singer. Honorary Pallbearers: Robert Singer, Ryan Pachapis, Eugene Pachapis, Logan Kahpeepatow, Matthew Sundown and all who knew and loved Wade. Final Resting Place, Pasachak Cemetery, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan.
