Remembrance Day ceremonies across the Lakeland
Monday is Remembrance Day across Canada and there are several gatherings across the Lakeland to pay your respects.
The biggest includes 4 Wing representation at the Cold Lake Energy Centre, hosted as well by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 211.
Spectators are asked to be seated by 10:35AM at Imperial Oil Place. The parade will begin at 10:45AM.
Make sure to get there early. This ceremony is very well attended.
In Bonnyville, patrons will gather outside the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 183 on 52nd Avenue for the ceremony.
In Lac La Biche, outdoor public ceremonies will be held at Royal Canadian Legion, McGrane #28 on Churchill Drive, beginning at 10:50AM.
The Lac La Biche Museum has also recently just added a war contribution section to their displays, which chronicles the impacts locals had made from the Boer War to Afghanistan.
The parade in Elk Point will begin at 10:45AM at the Seniors Centre. The 11:00AM moment of silence will be followed by the laying of the wreaths and a light lunch.
