St. Paul RCMP Report Oct. 24-31: motorists passing school buses, break-ins
Over the past week, the St. Paul RCMP responded to 211 calls for service and executed 15 warrants for arrest.
Last Thursday, police received a report of a break in at the ball diamond facility. RCMP say so far they do not have enough evidence to proceed with their investigation. If you have any information about this break in, please contact police.
Sometime Sunday, the St. Paul RCMP received a report of a loud bang and smoke being seen near 51 Street and 50 Avenue. Police responded and found a group of people playing with a bear banger. There was no threat to the public, police say.
Numerous reports have been sent to the RCMP about vehicles passing school buses while they are stopped with their lights on. While no collisions or injuries have been reported, police are reminding the public to stop and wait when buses have their lights on to help keep kids safe while getting on and off the bus.
On Tuesday, the St. Paul RCMP held “Coffee with a Cop” at the St. Paul A&W. The event saw several individuals from the community engaging with police officers. Some upcoming dates are scheduled for this informal opportunity to chat with members on Nov. 26, Jan. 28, and Feb. 25.
