Cold Lake RCMP charge two with weapons offences

Cold Lake RCMP have charged two people with a myriad of weapons offences.

The original incident happened on Friday, Oct. 5.

While investigating something else, police saw a firearm inside of a parked vehicle. RCMP then discovered the weapon was loaded, and another weapon was found inside the vehicle with additional ammo. 

As a result of their investigation Cold Lake RCMP have arrested two individuals.

Kyle Piche, a 26-year-old resident of Cold Lake, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (x2)
  • Possession of a restricted/prohibited weapon without license/registration (x2)
  • Unsafe storage of firearms (x2)
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon (x3)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm (x2)

Kyle Piche was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake.

Faith Macdonald, a 30-year-old resident of Cold Lake, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (x2)
  • Possession of a restricted/prohibited weapon without license/registration (x2)
  • Unsafe storage of firearms (x2)
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon (x3)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm (x2)

Faith Macdonald was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was released via a release order with conditions. She is scheduled to appear on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake.
