A 24-year-old Lac La Biche man facing charges of possession and distribution of child pornography appeared for the first time in court this week.
Eric Sprecker, who worked as an educational assistant and Out of School Care worker at Vera M. Welsh Elementary in Lac La Biche, had the next date of court set for Nov. 4 for election and plea.
The Monday, Oct. 7 date for obtaining and reviewing disclosure.
According to the original RCMP release, the arrest happened after a search warrant was conducted at his residence with police and the Alberta RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit.
Police said the victim was not believed to be from the area.
