In Loving Memory: Louise Johnson – Memento Funeral Chapel

Published On: October 8, 2024By

It is with great sadness that the family of Louise Johnson from Cold Lake, Alberta, formally announces her passing on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the age of 75 years. Louise was born in Quebec City on a cold wintery day on January 2, 1949.

Louise is lovingly survived by her children: Bruce Johnson (Lorrie Oliver) of Vernon, BC, Katrina Johnson (Martin James) of Auckland, NZ, Jennifer Johnson (Roland Dargis) of Cold Lake, AB; her grandchildren: Ethan & Craig Johnson, Noah & Evelyn Dargis; her siblings: Denyse Guy (Terry Couling), Stewart (Linda) Guy; close family member: Michael  Williams; and father of her children: Peter Johnson. Her relationships were so important to her.

Louise is predeceased by her parents: Earl & Madeleine (Duchesnay) Guy; sister: Florence Guy (Terry Montgomery).

Louise was very active within her community as she was a founding member of the Cold Lake Library, Lakeland Gymnastics Club, and affordable housing project; a Brownie leader, member of FCSS, volunteer at Grand Centre Elementary School, and more. After raising children, she worked part-time for Statistics Canada and then she had a very successful career in real estate for over thirty years.

Louise was a kind and generous soul who touched the lives of many, especially her family. She had a phenomenal connection with nature; some of her best memories involve the Northern Lights at Lac St. Joseph, kayaking in BC with her daughter Katrina, hiking, canoeing, hunting, fishing, cross-country and water-skiing, and spending time at Crane Lake.

Funeral Service is Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., (Eulogy will begin at 10:50 a.m.) Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, 4-Wing, Cold Lake, Alberta. Cremation to follow.  A live-stream of the service will be made available on our website.

Memorial tributes in memory of Louise may be sent to Cold Lake Food Bank.

Respectfully submitted by the Johnson Family
