Kitscoty RCMP respond to fatal aircraft crash
Transport Canada will investigate a fatal aircraft accident near the Saskatchewan border that saw one person die.
Kitscoty RCMP were notified at 10:00AM on Wednesday, August 21, that a personal aircraft had crashed, near the Saskatchewan border, shortly after takeoff. The precise location was not disclosed.
Police say the single occupant, a 46-year-old man from Rivercourse, was declared deceased at the scene.
Rivercourse is approximately 31 kilometres south of Lloydminster.
