Set of Bonnyville RCMP trading cards to be released

I’ll trade you an Odie card for your Bonnyville Detachment — this might be a phrase you’d hear kids say.

A new series of “Cop Cards” featuring the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment will be handed out by members.

Similar to hockey cards, this is a set of 21 cards featuring 18 RCMP members, Victim Services Unit Service Dogs Odie & Romeo, and the detachment building itself.

The intention behind them is a way to promote community policing and show the public a different side to the RCMP than what they might read or see in the media.

You can approach RCMP out in public when you see them and ask for a card, or you can drop by the Detachment and ask there.

The only stipulation is that each officer has to be the one to hand out their own card, so you’ll physically have to see each police officer to have a chance at winning the contest.

This will be part of a contest to see if community members can collect all available cards from this 2024 series. The first three to go to the detachment with the entire set will win a prize.

This is the third installment of Cop Cards at the Bonnyville Detachment.
