Incident with air rifle was “pest control” in Bonnyville on Monday

A police situation near in the vicinity of 50th Avenue and 55th Street on Monday in Bonnyville did not lead to charges or arrest, but education.

Bonnyville RCMP had reports of an elderly man with a rifle near the Player’s Lounge corner. This, however, turned out to be a air rifle, police said, after re-directing traffic along 55th Street.

The male was using an air rifle for pest control. No charges or arrests were made and the police educated the male, RCMP said on Wednesday.
