The Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre has the air conditioning on for patrons. This was shut off during the installation of a new system under the ice surfaces that hopes to alleviate long-standing concerns about the ice quality.
“They’ve started to make ice, and now we can pump some of that cold air back into the gym,” said Tyson Watters of the C2.
“The two and a half to three weeks of sheer sauna that we ran is over, and it’s a little bit more bearable. On the other side now, it’s, it feels a little bit like winter in here.”
