Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Lakeland issued by Environment Canada

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain, Environment Canada says on Wednesday.

Thunderstorms have developed. Some of these thunderstorms will become severe this afternoon. The risk of severe thunderstorms will last until late in the evening in central Alberta, but will last throughout the night in eastern and northeastern Alberta.

Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Thursday.
