Search warrant seizes 220 grams of cocaine; charges laid
Police in Cold Lake seized over 220 grams of cocaine and other assorted trafficking items in a drug bust on the north end last week.
RCMP conducted the search warrant on Friday, July 19 at a unit in Cold Lake North and an associated vehicle.
Police said a male was taken into custody and a search resulted in police locating approximately 220 grams of suspected cocaine, $5,600.00 in Canadian currency, 47 psilocybin bars packaged for sale, and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Ryan Rivait, 27, a resident of Belle River, Ontario, was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime.
Rivait was released on a $250.00 Cash Release Order with conditions after a Judicial Interim Hearing. Rivait will appear in the Cold Lake Court of Justice on July 24, 2024.
