The Lakeland area is on the edge of a severe weather system that could see major thunderstorms and major winds.
Meteorologists are projecting the Edmonton and Red Deer areas to get pelted tonight with damaging winds and risks of hails.
This weather system will move east into the night toward the Saskatchewan border.

The edge of supercell activity seems to be Smoky Lake and Wainwright, but experts say to be alert because extreme weather can change quickly.
The Bonnyville-Cold Lake region has showers or the chance of rain forecasted for much of the week.
