WATCH: Chili Cookoff well supported despite windy weather

Although the weather was not ideal, hundreds still came out to sample roughly two dozen varieties of chili during Friday’s Chamber of Commerce Corporate Chili Cookoff.
The Bonnyville & District SPCA were the beneficiaries of the proceeds as patrons walked through the various tents set up on 50th Avenue and 50th Street.
Here are the winners of this year’s cookoff.
- Team Spirit: Town of Bonnyville
- Hot Stuff: Casino Dene
- Most Unusual: Cashco Financial
- Tastiest: MR MIKES
- People’s Choice: Canadian Natural Resources Limited
- “Sense”ational champion: Casino Dene
“Chili Cookoff is the most feel-good, fun-loving event of the year,” said executive director Serina Parsons.
The staple of the Friday afternoon during the Pro Rodeo and WPCA Chuckwagons got you a bowl to sample as many chilis as you could handle. The judges as well as eaters then voted for their favourites.
