Cold Lake Senior’s Week to see activities, Man Van visit

Senior’s Week kicks off in Cold Lake with a variety of activities, as well as an eye toward health.

A kick-off pancake breakfast is happening this morning at the Cold Lake and District FCSS from 8:30AM-10:30AM.

The bulk of activities run Thursday and Friday with an art class, lunch, floor curling, pickleball, skate, bingo, amongst others.

On Friday though, the Man Van, will be available for walk-in from 10:00AM-2:00PM, a service that could help detect prostate cancer.

The Man Van provides free PSA blood testing for men ages 50-70 and offers mental wellness checks for all men 18+. This service is meant to tackle reluctance to preventative care.

It will also be making a visit to Cold Lake First Nations on June 19.
