Man carrying imitation handgun at Cold Lake A&W charged

 On May 29, 2024, at approximately 7:50 a.m., Cold Lake RCMP received a report of a male carrying a handgun at the A&W restaurant.

Cold Lake RCMP arrived on scene and conducted the arrest of a male matching the description. During the search of the male a black air-pistol was found in his possession.

As a result of the investigation, Allan Nolan, 28, a resident of Cold Lake, was charged with:

  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
  • Fail to comply with a weapons prohibition x 3; and
  • Carrying a concealed weapon.

Nolan was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. He will be appearing at the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake on June 19, 2024.
