Cyr says Premier Smith will make appearance at Cold Lake Air Show
MLA Scott Cyr said in a recent member statement in the Legislature that Premier Danielle Smith will be visiting the area again — this time for the Cold Lake Air Show.
“Mr. Speaker it is my distinct honour to announce that the Premier of Alberta will be joining us for this spectacular show,” Cyr said in the Ledge.
The Cold Lake Air Show is slated for July 19 & 20th, with the kick-off Full Throttle party on Friday night.
Smith was most recently in the Lakeland on January 26 for a United Conservative Party fundraiser.
“With around 27,000 people expected to attend this year, events planned for families of all ages, guests will be delighted to see a demonstration from the highly anticipated F-35 Lightning II taking to the Alberta skies. With an engine that produces 43,000 pounds of thrust and a top speed of Mach 1.6, or 1,200 miles per hour, this display will most certainly not disappoint. This is especially significant with CFB Cold Lake – 4 Wing being one of the two main fighter jet bases in Canada, going through a multi-billion dollar upgrade to accommodate for this amazing jet, this is most certainly anticipated by all of us.”
