Anthony and Roger Bilodeau, the son and father from Glendon convicted in the murder and manslaughter of Jacob Sansom and Maurice Cardinal, had appeal applications dismissed, the Canadian Press reported on Monday. 

The Court of Appeal of Alberta made their ruling on Monday after listening to arguments back in March.

Anthony’s application was unanimously dismissed by three judges, while Roger’s was split 2-1 against. 

The murders took place just north of Glendon in March 2020. 

Roger was previously granted day parole opportunities on April 25. 

Anthony was handed a second-degree murder conviction of Maurice Cardinal and manslaughter in the death of Jacob Sansom. He would have 13 years to serve before the chance of parole. 

With two convictions of manslaughter, Roger was given time served credit in his ten-year sentence for being held before the trial in 2022.
