Nearly 70 grams of crystal meth seized in search warrant, one person charged

One person is facing charges after a search warrant executed in Kehewin in late April led to the seizure of almost 70 grams of crystal meth, guns, and recovery of stolen property.
On Sunday, April 28, members of the Bonnyville RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence in Kehewin Cree Nation.
During the search, police say they located the stolen property, drugs and firearms that included:
- Stolen Milwaukee tools;
- A stolen ATV;
- Stolen Identification;
- Two firearms;
- 69.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine;
- Evidence consistent with drug trafficking.
Randall Gadwa, 41, of Kehewin Cree Nation, was arrested and charged with:
- possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking,
- possession of stolen property over $5000,
- unlawful possession of a firearms,
- possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle,
- careless use of a firearm,
- Identity theft
- operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited.
He was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released from custody to appear in court on Tuesday, May 7, in Bonnyville.
