A Bonnyville Pontiac could receive national recognition for his terrific offensive season.

Luka Sukovic took home AJHL MVP, Top Forward, all while leading the league with 35 goals. On Tuesday, he was named a finalist for the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s Top Forward award.

The Chicago area product will have four competitors for the award: Spencer Bell (SJHL, Humboldt Broncos), Dalton Andrew, (MJHL, Winkler Flyers), Trevor Hoskin, (OJHL, Cobourg Cougars), and Alex Blais, (LHJAAAQ, Rangers de Montreal).

In his last season of junior, Sukovic will play next season with Clarkson in the NCAA.

Each of the finalists were determined through a voting process completed by the CJHL’s nine-member leagues.
