There will be no emergency department physician overnight on certain days at George McDougall – Smoky Lake Healthcare Centre beginning tonight to May 10.
Alberta Health Services says nursing staff will remain on-site in the emergency department providing triage, assessments and referrals for patients to alternate emergency departments in surrounding communities, as needed.

- Tuesday, April 30 from 7:00PM to Wednesday, May 1 at 8:00AM
- Wednesday, May 1 from 7:00PM to Thursday, May 2 at 8:00AM
- Thursday, May 2 from 7:00PM to Friday, May 3 at 8:00AM
- Monday, May 6 from 7:00PM to Tuesday, May 7 at 8:00AM
- Tuesday, May 7 from 7:00PM to Wednesday, May 8 at 8:00AM
- Wednesday, May 8 from 7:00PM to Thursday, May 9 at 8:00AM
- Thursday, May 9 from 7:00PM to Friday, May 10 at 8:00AM
If coverage is found, disruptions may be cancelled, AHS says.
