State of Local Emergency Issued in the MD of Bonnyville
The Municipal District of Bonnyville declared a State of Local Emergency at 12:52 p.m. due to wildfire. A localized evacuation order has also been issued. Residents who need to be evacuated have been notified.
The fire that began on Cold Lake First Nations yesterday (April 22, 2024) afternoon, is now moving west into the M.D. of Bonnyville.
The fire (LIR001) is currently located between Range Roads 432 and 433, south of Highway 28.
