A busy season of construction is slated for Lac La Biche this year.

The County will continue its Main Street Revitalization project in the coming days, work that will repair underground utility lines and the area’s overall aethestic.

While the undergrounds spanning 101 Avenue from 100 to 103 Street was necessary, the goal for the County is creating a more attractive area for residents and tourists.

But with that comes road closures that residents should be aware of.

Starting Tuesday, April 23, Main Street between 102 Street and 101 Street will be closed. Then between May 7 and 9, a portion of 100 Street will also be closed to install a storm sewer main.

Once work on 100 Street is finished, that road will re-open with the closure of the 101 Street and Main Street intersection. The tentative end date is slated for Oct. 31.

Businesses in these affected areas can still be reached on foot, with areas designated for added parking.
